The secret to deep exfoliation
How to use Beldi Soap the right way
Apply
A little, on warm, damp skin
After 3–5 minutes under a warm shower, take a walnut-sized amount and spread it over your damp body. The paste melts into a creamy film, with no foam.
Action
Leave the paste on for 5 minutes
Stay in the shower steam with the water off. The soap and the fatty acids from the olives soften the dead skin.
Rinse completely
The golden rule
Rinse until your skin no longer feels slippery at all. Don't use the glove over the soap: it needs clean skin to grab dead cells.
Exfoliate with the Kessa glove
On damp skin, rub firmly with the glove. Skin softened by Beldi exfoliates more easily and more thoroughly than with water alone.
The real shower experience
Why it's essential in the glove ritual
Doubles the glove's effect
„I didn't think it could be so effective, it's exactly as described, and together with the glove they work wonders. It exfoliates deeply. I felt the difference from the first use. I recommend it!”
My dry skin is gone
„I ordered the set with the glove, Beldi soap and argan oil. I was skeptical at first too, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the result. My dry skin is gone, and my skin stayed smooth and velvety for a long time.”
Natural scent, real effect
„Even though it has a scent I'd never come across before, it softens the skin well before using the exfoliating glove. I give it 5 stars for that.”
The two halves of the ritual
Use it together with the Kessa Glove and Argan Oil
In the Moroccan tradition, Beldi Soap and the Kessa Glove are used together: Beldi softens the dead skin, Kessa removes it, and Argan nourishes the skin at the end.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't it foam like a regular soap or shower gel?
Because it doesn't contain sulfates (SLS/SLES) or foaming agents. The abundant foam in commercial products comes from detergents that can dry out the skin. Beldi Soap is a traditional paste of saponified olive oil: with water it forms a creamy film that softens the layer of dead cells.
What does it smell like? Is it fragranced?
It has no added fragrance; it has the raw, natural scent of saponified black olives. If you're used to strongly scented cosmetics, it may seem unusual at first, plant-like and intense. The scent doesn't stay on your skin after rinsing.
What is the "Potassium Hydroxide" in the ingredient list? Is it safe?
It's potassium hydroxide, the ingredient that turns olive oil into soft soap. Every real soap is made from the reaction between an oil and a base (bar soaps use soda, Beldi paste uses potassium hydroxide). During saponification, it reacts with the oil, and the result is a softening paste with natural glycerin.
Can I use the Kessa glove directly over the Beldi soap?
No, the soap must be rinsed off completely first. Beldi is slippery, and the glove would slide on your skin without grabbing anything. Apply the soap, leave it on for 5 minutes, rinse it off completely with warm water and only then use the Kessa glove.
How long do I leave it on my skin?
5–10 minutes, in the shower steam. Then rinse it off completely before the glove. This time softens the skin; without it, exfoliation is weaker.
Can I use it without the Kessa glove?
Yes, as a gentle body soap. But its main role in the hammam is still preparing your skin for exfoliation, once a week.
Why should the jar be kept away from water?
Water changes the paste's consistency. Take the soap with dry fingers and close the jar tightly after each use.
How long will a jar last me?
One ritual needs only a small amount, about a teaspoon for your whole body. The 100 g jar lasts for several weeks of rituals; the 300 g size, three times longer.
